A local pilot in development, continuing the Silom Pride Economy Living Lab. It studies LGBTQIA+ visitor journeys in a real district—from culture and places to local services and access to customers.
Field conversation during a route and local-business observation, 26 February 2026.PRIDE ECONOMY ROUTE / SILOM · BANGKOK
Pride Economy Route is a local LGBTQIA+ visitor-economy pilot. It tests how accessible places and culture, services designed around people, responsible data use and access to customers could improve visits and help local businesses. Benefits for communities and cities must be measured, not assumed.
Pride, queer nightlife, drag, cabaret, community history and LGBTQIA+ creative activity are cultural and economic assets. The Route studies who creates this value, how visitors reach it and how local people participate; it is more than an attraction map.

QUESTION & WORK IN PROGRESS
How can Silom and Bangkok become genuinely ready for LGBTQIA+ visitors spatially, culturally, operationally and economically—and how can that readiness be measured?
