WHAT IS PRIDE ECONOMY?

LGBTQIA+ realities.
Infrastructure that connects.

Pride Economy is grounded in LGBTQIA+ visitor realities, connecting them to urban development, culture, public service, data, business development and market access. Silom and Bangkok are the starting environments for testing these connections. The aim is to make LGBTQIA+ needs visible, measurable and actionable, not to replace them with a generic definition of inclusion.

CURRENT FRAMEWORK STACK / 2026

One LGBTQIA+ visitor journey.
Four connected infrastructures.

How can cities and businesses become genuinely ready for LGBTQIA+ visitors — spatially, culturally, operationally and economically — and how can that readiness be measured?

A

Inclusive Spatial & Cultural Infrastructure

Follow LGBTQIA+ visitor movement through walkable routes, wayfinding, accessibility, public space and night-time safety. Read queer cultural capital, LGBTQIA+ heritage, community assets and creative businesses as part of district identity and economic life.

WORKING OUTPUTA district journey and queer cultural-capital baseline
B

Inclusive Service & Business Infrastructure

Ask what an LGBTQIA+ visitor-ready service actually looks like. Combine Servicescape, lived experience and journey testing with SME redesign: frontline practice, booking, information, privacy, accessibility, safety and referral handoffs.

WORKING OUTPUTLGBTQIA+ Visitor Service Readiness Model v0.1
C

Inclusive Data & Evidence Infrastructure

Identify the evidence cities and businesses need to improve LGBTQIA+ visitor experiences responsibly. Inclusive City Link™ is an applied evidence and decision-support layer; QueerHere / visit.bkk.lgbt is the visitor-facing discovery and service-navigation layer.

WORKING OUTPUTSix purpose-defined evidence layers, not an LGBT database
D

Market & Economic Infrastructure

Connect LGBTQIA+ visitor demand to local services, readiness improvements, buyer-ready supply and domestic or international access. Follow transactions and local value, including SME development, travel trade, procurement and relevant long-stay or relocation services.

WORKING OUTPUTA testable route from readiness to commercial evidence

LGBTQIA+ is the first and primary use case; the infrastructure and learning generated through the pilot can inform a wider inclusive visitor economy.

PRIDE ECONOMY ROUTE / SILOM · BANGKOK

A district pilot, from cultural capital to market access

Pride Economy Route is a place-based LGBTQIA+ visitor-economy pilot testing how inclusive spatial and cultural infrastructure, human-centred services, responsible data and market access can improve visitor experiences, strengthen local businesses and generate measurable value for communities and cities.

Evidence route

Pride, queer nightlife, drag, cabaret, community history and LGBTQIA+ creative activity are cultural and economic assets. The Route studies who creates this value, how visitors reach it and how local people participate; it is more than an attraction map.

Keep the economic outlook connected to work in progress

The annual outlook reads demand and policy signals. The Forum preserves people’s contributions and source materials. Projects test local questions; research, tools and impact evidence support the next decision.
